Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a growing manufacturing site in Lakewood, NJ.

This on-site role leads a full maintenance team on the packaging lines and reports to the Maintenance Manager, focusing on safety, uptime, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has FDA-regulated manufacturing experience, PLC troubleshooting skills, and a strong background in preventative maintenance and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required; bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• At least five years of similar maintenance supervision experience in manufacturing.
• Pharmaceutical, consumer products, food, or beverage manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in FDA regulated manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Preventative maintenance programs and ticketing systems experience.
• Strong continuous improvement background, focused on uptime and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for building a high-performing 24/7 maintenance team in the packaging department.
• Promotes safety culture and enforces plant safety policies; conducts field audits.
• Coordinates, schedules, and assigns maintenance resources for packaging lines; manages urgent issues.
• Owns safety and productivity KPIs and supports Lean principles; leads root cause investigations.
• Maintains flexibility to work any shift and weekends to support operations.
