Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a manufacturing site in Lakewood, NJ. You will lead a full maintenance team, drive safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage resources across packaging lines on a 24/7 basis.

You will coach staff, implement preventative maintenance, and champion Lean improvement initiatives to maximize uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required; bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• At least five years of similar maintenance supervision experience in manufacturing.
• Pharmaceutical, consumer products, food, or beverage manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in FDA regulated manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Preventative maintenance programs and ticketing systems experience.
• Strong continuous improvement background, focused on increasing uptime and efficiencies.
• Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Coaching: Directly responsible for building a high-performing, 24/7 maintenance team in the packaging department.
• Safety & Compliance: Promotes a strong safety culture and consistently enforces plant safety policies.
• Maintenance Planning & Operations: Coordinates, schedules, and assigns maintenance resources for packaging lines and reviews work packages.
• Continuous Improvement & KPIs: Owns safety and productivity KPIs related to maintenance and supports Lean initiatives.
• Work Flexibility: Maintains flexibility to work any shift and weekends to support operations.
