Job summary

Essenti Talent in Lakewood, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a fully staffed maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will coach, mentor, and drive a culture of safety while spending significant time on the plant floor.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance for packaging lines, ensuring uptime, enforcing safety, applying Lean concepts, and partnering with the Maintenance Manager to achieve site targets. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required; bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
• At least five years of similar maintenance supervision experience in manufacturing.
• Pharmaceutical, consumer products, food, or beverage manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in FDA regulated manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Preventative maintenance programs and ticketing systems experience.
• Strong continuous improvement background, focused on increasing uptime and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Coaching: Directly responsible for building a high-performing, 24/7 maintenance team in the packaging department; mentor mechanics and escalate issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, enforce policies, and oversee safety initiatives with contractors and vendors.
• Maintenance Planning & Operations: Schedule resources, manage daily progress, coordinate with shift leads, ensure equipment testing and proper signoffs.
• Continuous Improvement & KPIs: Own safety and productivity KPIs; support Lean, 5S, and root cause investigations.
• Work Flexibility: Be ready to work different shifts and weekends to support operations.
