Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Packaging Equipment Sales Specialist to drive direct sales of packaging equipment within an assigned geography, including Harrisburg, PA. The role involves needs analysis, proposal development, and presenting automation solutions to improve customer productivity and total cost of ownership.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of related sales experience, strong presentation and communication skills, and a track record in developing and executing strategic sales plans.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of related job experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and diplomacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic account planning activities with sales managers/directors and field sales team.
• Work closely with field service technicians in providing customer solutions and lead generation.
• Understand customer's business and determine system and product needs.
• Prepare and present technical proposals showing how Veritiv's products meet needs and integrate with customer's systems.
• Support unit sales plan through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities.
• Provide internal training and technical sales support for equipment related products.
• Create sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and supporting field sellers in existing customers.
• Lead sales responsibility for automatic equipment sales while facilitating and supporting field sellers on semi-automatic sales.
