Job summary

Amcor Flexibles North America Inc. seeks a Technical Service Representative II to provide skilled technical assistance on packaging equipment and materials.

The role involves field audits, installation support, and training customers across a broad region, with significant travel from Cranberry Township, PA. The position requires an Associate’s degree in a technical field and at least 5 years in packaging technology or technical service for packaging products.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in packaging or related engineering field and 5 years of experience in engineering/technical service in food packaging.
• 5 years of experience servicing packaging equipment, including at least 7 listed machine types.
• Experience applying knowledge of film construction to resolve packaging issues.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Quality, Production, Maintenance and Product Development teams.
• 3 years of experience solving film/bag production issues (Winding/Rewinding).
• 1 year of experience with Blown film, Bag Making, and Pouch Making technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to customers on packaging equipment operations.
• Service customer equipment to maintain optimum performance of equipment and packaging materials.
• Perform package/shrink bag and machine audits on packaging machines.
• Identify machinery and film problems and communicate to appropriate staff.
• Participate in field trials of new packaging materials and assist in installation and start-up.
• Train customers and other Amcor Technical Service Reps on equipment and films.
