Job summary

Amcor Flexibles North America Inc. seeks a Technical Service Representative II to deliver technical support for packaging equipment and films, with extensive travel within Cranberry Township, PA and nearby regions.

The role involves installation, startup, field trials, and customer training to optimize performance and product quality. The position requires an Associate’s degree in a technical field and 5 years in engineering/technical service for food packaging, with 70% travel to customer sites

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field such as Packaging or an Engineering field related to packaging (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology) or foreign equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and timely technical assistance to assigned customers in matters relating to their packaging equipment operations and facilitate customer quality and packaging performance improvement.
• Service customer equipment to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials.
• Perform and complete package/shrink bag and machine audits on packaging machines.
• Identify machinery and packaging film/shrink bag problems and communicate to the appropriate staff.
• Participate in field trials of new packaging materials.
• Assist in installation and start-up of all packaging equipment manufactured and sold by Amcor and provide input into the design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured by outside suppliers.
• Train customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment and Amcor film, as well as training other Amcor Technical Service Reps on how to train the customer.

Education
