Job summary

Douglas Machine is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair its automated packaging machinery. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites and includes routine maintenance, machine setup, and training of customer personnel.

The successful candidate will have a solid mechanical and electrical background, be proficient with blueprints, and provide excellent customer service while visiting sites.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong customer service skills.
• Must prepare complete trip and expense reports promptly.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of automated machine controls.
• Able to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Proficient with laptop and related software.
• Able to travel at least 75%.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair packaging machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance and machine setup.
• Travel to customer sites frequently.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
