Job summary

Itape is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. You will ensure equipment uptime and support customer production needs while delivering a high level of technical service in the field.

This role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while representing Itape at customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred.
• Experience with electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Hands-on mechanical skills with safe disassembly and reassembly.
• Experience in packaging automation systems preferred.
• Experience using PC applications for documentation and reporting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and minor automation issues using testing tools.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Document service actions, complete work orders, and maintain records.
• Travel to customer sites, with average 30% travel weekly.
