Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a cardiac device technician to support the device clinic, focusing on pacemaker and ICD patient care, device interrogations, remote checks, and patient education.

This role, 40 hours weekly, involves EMR documentation, coordination with physicians, and travel to satellite locations as needed.

Strong communication, computer skills, and knowledge of cardiac devices are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree encouraged or preferred.
• 3-5 years clinical cardiovascular experience; familiarity with cardiac devices.
• Good computer and organizational skills; strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage delivery of quality clinical care for patients with pacemakers and ICDs.
• Perform device interrogations and reprogramming as needed in the office setting.
• Review remote transmissions and correlate with patient condition to manage arrhythmias.
• Document in EMR and ensure accurate charges for device services.
• Coordinate with physicians and device nurses to ensure continuity of care.
