Job summary

Atrium Health in Georgia is seeking a Cardiovascular Device Specialist to manage patient care for pacemakers and ICDs. You will perform device interrogations, interpret data, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, CPR certification, and experience with device management in a clinical setting. Training will cover remote monitoring and office-based checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree encouraged/preferred.
• 3-5 years clinical cardiovascular experience.
• Familiar with cardiac devices such as pacemakers and ICDs.
• Good computer and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to identify cardiac arrhythmias and device abnormalities.
• Willing to learn pacemaker/defibrillator analysis.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients regarding recalls and monitor device changes.
• Evaluate and support delivery of quality cardiac care for pacemaker/ICD patients.
• Perform remote device interrogations and reprogramming per clinic needs.
• Interpret arrhythmias and adjust device settings per patient needs.
• Educate patients on heart pacing and device management.
• Maintain device interrogation data in the EMR and ensure accuracy.
• Conduct transtelephonic checks for pacemaker patients and report findings.
• Triages messages and coordinates with providers to ensure timely care.
• Collaborate with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, surgeons, and device nurses.
