Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center seeks a Cardiovascular Technician to provide technical support for cardiac device services and assist with clinical and administrative activities in cardiology outpatients under licensed supervision.

The role requires competence in interrogation, testing, and programming of pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, and collaboration with the care team to coordinate patient care in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of cardiac device technology program by end of the third year of employment.
• Minimum one year of experience in cardiac patient care, cardiovascular technology, or a related cardiology setting.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Experience with pacemaker and defibrillator interrogation, programming, and interpretation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-office and remote cardiac device evaluations including interrogation of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and related rhythm management devices.
• Reviews device data and documents results, communicates concerns to supervising physician.
• Provides patient education on device monitoring, follow-up, and remote transmissions.
