Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to oversee testing, commissioning, validation, and operational integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations.

You will lead advanced testing, mentor engineers, and ensure safe, reliable operation in energized environments up to high voltage levels, while coordinating with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in high-voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent relay platforms.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA and NERC CIP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex protection & control testing and commissioning across substations.
• Develop test plans, energization procedures, and JHAs.
• Mentor Test Engineers and coordinate with client operations.
• Ensure documentation and reports are accurate and client-ready.
• Ensure testing aligns with utility standards and client requirements.
