Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, validation, and integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will mentor engineers, communicate with clients, and ensure safety and reliability in energized environments.

The role requires expertise in relay protection, SCADA, IEC 61850 networks, and platform testing tools, with a focus on operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of high-voltage protection & control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse, or equivalent relay platforms.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP and OSHA standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation across substations.
• Develop test plans, isolation plans, energization plans, and commissioning procedures.
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, and operations to ensure safe, compliant turnover.
