Job summary

The Key Program, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Awake Shift Worker in Pittsfield, MA to supervise youth during the overnight hours in a trauma-informed residential setting.

You will monitor clients, perform bed and security checks, and support routines such as wake-up, meals, and school prep. The role collaborates with clinicians, nurses, and direct care staff to ensure safety, structure, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• College coursework and one year of relevant experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid state driver’s license and insured car for work use
• Comprehensive background check
• Commitment to trainings in FA/CPR/AED, MA MAP and CPI Crisis Intervention.

Responsibilities

• The Overnight Awake Shift Worker shares a schedule with the team for overnight shifts (11pm–7:30am) and may include weekend shifts
• Remains awake, alert, and security conscious to monitor client activity
• Performs and documents client bed checks every 15 minutes and security checks
• Engages clients with positive, supportive, professional relationships
• Follows safety and security policies and manual procedures to maintain structure
• Assists clients with routines such as wake-up, meals, school prep, medication administration, and transportation
• Notifies and documents program incidents promptly and accurately
