Job summary

Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs in Needham, MA, seeks an Awake Direct Care Overnight Supervisor to work with children and youth facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing a therapeutic milieu during the overnight shift and ensuring safety and continuity of care.

Under supervision of the Assistant Director of Residential Milieu Services, you will manage staff schedules, conduct supervision and evaluations, perform crisis

Qualifications

• TCI training certification or ability to obtain
• First Aid/CPR certification required
• Medication administration training required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and make safe decisions in high-pressure situations
• Willingness to learn and apply training and supervision guidance
• Physical stamina to participate with children
• Computer skills and data entry ability
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Valid MA driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise overnight staff to ensure a safe, therapeutic milieu for youths
• Manage staff schedule and performance evaluations
• Provide crisis management and support wake ups
• Coordinate with campus leadership on training plans and scheduling
• Adhere to licensing standards and complete shift end walkthroughs
• Contribute to development and evaluation of behavioral support plans
• Support implementation of crisis intervention language and techniques
• Identify staff development needs and arrange targeted training
• Assist with staff interviews and hiring as assigned
• Conduct training for staff and supervise direct care team
• Perform additional duties as assigned
