Job summary

Floor & Decor in Mobile, AL is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct the store warehouse operations, manage daily freight, and supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators. You will schedule personnel, oversee shipping/receiving, ensure safety, training, and coordination with other departments to maintain accurate inventory and efficient distribution.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse or distribution center.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with other departments and maintain effective relationships.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in basic math and Windows-based computer systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Availability for extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities: shipping, receiving, inventory control, maintenance.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee warehouse safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with other departments to improve warehouse operations.
• Prepare activity reports for management.
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control for data entry.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection.
• Oversee inventory rotation.
• Perform other duties as directed.
