Job summary

Floor & Decor in California is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct and oversee store warehouse operations, supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators, and manage daily freight scheduling based on customer and inventory needs.

The role requires 1-3 years of supervisory experience, strong communication and team-building skills, and the ability to work with other departments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving.
• Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse (shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc).
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate repairs with CEM/Operations Manager; ensure safe, efficient equipment.
• Implement and monitor warehouse safety programs to maintain a safe workplace per OSHA regulations.
• Ensure associates are trained and following standard operating procedures.
• Manage disciplinary processes to maintain productive labor relations in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
• Complete necessary activity reports for management.
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entry.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Ensure execution of Storage Buy Audit COP.
• Oversee staging and counting of products; proper storage to conserve space.
• Oversee inventory rotation within the warehouse.
