Job summary

Baldor is seeking a Transportation Supervisor III to oversee overnight transportation operations, including route planning, driver supervision, and compliance with DOT and company safety standards. The role involves coaching drivers, coordinating with night operations, and ensuring on-time delivery across routes.

You will monitor KPI metrics, support performance improvements, and lead safety initiatives while maintaining strong communication with leadership and vendors during off-hours.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution operations.
• Maintain an active driver's license and DOT medical card.
• Prior driver, dispatch, routing or transportation supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience using routing software and/or transportation management systems preferred.
• Proven leadership skills to guide and support a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily routes to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery operations.
• Monitor routing performance and identify opportunities to improve route structure and efficiency.
• Coordinate with night warehouse operations to stage and release routes for dispatch.
• Supervise, coach and support drivers and yard jockeys during overnight operations.
• Conduct ride-alongs for training and safety reinforcement.
• Provide real-time support to drivers and manage attendance and scheduling.
