Job summary

Baldor is seeking a Transportation Manager in the United States to oversee daily transportation operations, including dispatch, driver check-in/check-out, and route coverage. You will manage staffing, service levels, and communication between drivers, dispatch, and management to ensure safe and efficient deliveries.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 2–3 years of leadership in transportation operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent managerial experience (min 3 years).
• Experience leading transportation operations and dispatch teams.
• Proficiency with routing, scheduling, and transportation logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations including dispatch and route coverage.
• Ensure deliveries are safe, on time, and meet company standards.
• Monitor staffing, schedules, and overtime to support daily operations.
• Collaborate with routing, warehouse, and dispatch to resolve issues.
• Coach drivers and transportation staff as needed.
• Assist with accident reviews and incident documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
• Maintain daily communication with drivers, dispatch, and management.
