Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best shopping experience and checkout flow for customers.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals and complete trainings.
• Support training of new team members and cross-train high-potential talent.
• Assist in department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and store profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by rotating stock and checking dating policies.
• Guide team on food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display where applicable.
• Foster a Meijer culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed; operate powered equipment when required.
• Participate in period-end inventories to support goal achievement.
• Act in Lead capacity in other departments when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
