Job summary

Bridgewell seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living skills support for individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities in a residential setting in Massachusetts. The role includes overnight shift duties, medication administration per MAP regulations, and active participation in community activities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 5+ years of verified related experience) and strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or at least 5+ years of verified experience in the same position is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Computer literacy to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and web-based applications used by the agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people in our services with skills training in all activities of daily living.
• Create opportunities to help people develop independence and decision-making skills.
• Transport and accompany people to medical, recreational and other activities as needed.
• Maintain daily progress notes and required documentation.
• Administer medications according to MAP regulations, when applicable.
• Attend program staff meetings and supervision sessions.
