Job summary

Bridgewell, located in Massachusetts, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in residential and community settings. The role emphasizes daily living skills, supervision, and individualized support during day, evening, or overnight hours.

You will follow regulatory standards, maintain documentation, and may drive a wheelchair-accessible van.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy to include proficiency with Microsoft products.
• Ability to drive a large and/or wheelchair van and hold a valid US driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people in our services with skills training in activities of daily living during day, evening and/or overnight hours.
• Create opportunities and provide support to people to make decisions and foster independence.
• Provide services according to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
• Administer medications as applicable and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with transportation to medical, recreational, and other activities.
• Maintain required training certifications and participate in staff meetings.
