Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to oversee daily operations, mentor team members, and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service. The role focuses on staffing, training, and maintaining store standards to meet customer needs efficiently.

The position requires 2-3 years of retail experience with at least one year in management, plus strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members for advancement.
• Improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs efficiently.
• Maintain store appearance focusing on prime shopping hours and product presentation.
• Ensure staff is trained in all aspects of their jobs and completed required training.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure reliable attendance.
