Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership role to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and manage staffing and training to ensure smooth store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service flow experience are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and give direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions, and to teach suggestive selling.
• Experience leading teams with a focus on safety and trained staff across areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; implement strategies to improve customer service and sales.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation to meet company standards.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development paths for team members, and participate in promotion decisions.
