Meijer Inc. seeks a store leadership professional to supervise day-to-day operations, mentor staff, and boost customer service and sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You will staff, coach, and ensure adherence to company standards across store departments while promoting a safe, high-performing team culture.

The role emphasizes developing talent, managing P&L, and maintaining operational excellence through effective training, communication, and customer focus in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli); customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate directions clearly to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across SDITs, hourly staff and team leaders.
• Successful completion of required certifications.

Responsabilités

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; improve customer service and drive sales.
• Maintain store appearance aligned with prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and identify development needs for the team.
• Document disciplinary actions and advise on discharge decisions.
• Oversee P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
• Deliver exceptional, fast, friendly customer service.
• Ensure team is trained and maintains Meijer standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Create a safe work environment and ensure reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
