Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use it to inform decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members and lead an organization focused on safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise day-to-day store operations across departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure staffing, hiring, and promotion decisions are managed effectively.
• Address disciplinary actions and performance issues as needed.
• Manage P&L, sales targets, and shrink within the department.
• Deliver exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Promote Meijer's Friendly Initiative in meetings and operations.
• Train team members across job roles and ensure required training is completed.
