Job summary

The role requires 2–3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, with rotation through store departments and a focus on teamwork and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli); customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills; ability to lead and mentor teams.
• Certifications completed as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Involved in promotion decisions and career development for team members.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure team is trained and adheres to safety and company policies.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed sales goals.
