Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, coach teams, and drive sales while delivering excellent customer service.

You will oversee staffing, selection and training, implement Meijer standards, manage P&L, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment across departments.

With 2-3 years of retail leadership and a focus on development and succession planning, you will mentor team members and advance career paths within our family of stores.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience is required.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and provide direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Ensures staffing, hiring and development to meet needs.
• Drives customer service, sales and a safe work environment.
• Maintains store appearance, product presentation and standards.
• Manages P&L and controls shrink for the department.
• Ensures training completion and effective communication in teams.
