Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to oversee daily operations across departments and mentor team members. You will drive customer service, staff recruitment, and training to ensure a thriving, efficient store environment.

You will manage staffing, oversee promotions, and monitor P&L while upholding Meijer standards and safety. Excellent communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise daily operations within store departments.
• Mentor and coach team members, supporting career growth.
• Improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs.
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet department needs.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure P&L targets are met and shrink is controlled.
• Deliver exceptional, fast, friendly customer service.
• Lead by example and communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure proper training.
• Attend to customers and team members to ensure high service levels.
