Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to manage day-to-day operations and develop a high-performing team in Wisconsin. You will staff, mentor, coach, and drive sales while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to company standards.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, training, safety, and performance management to achieve store objectives and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflict by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for informed decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members across SDITs and hourly positions.
• Successful completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members.
• Improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours and product presentation.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and career paths; participate in promotion decisions.
• Document disciplinary actions and recommendations for discharge.
• Manage P&L, sales, and shrink to meet department goals.
• Ensure team is trained and current on required trainings.
• Spend most time in-store engaging with customers and team members.
• Promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and daily work.
