Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor team members, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, and performance management, with emphasis on safety, financial metrics, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong communication and multi-tasking abilities within a fast-paced retail environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear and precise direction to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict by addressing root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
• Mentor team members in various roles including SDITs and hourly staff.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Serve as mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Ensure staffing, selection and hiring meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by defining development paths and involvement in promotion decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and advise on discharge decisions.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales and maintain shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team members to exceed customer service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure thorough training for all roles and that required trainings are completed.
• Spend most time in-store engaging with customers and teammates to ensure exceptional service.
• Maintain safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
