Meijer is seeking an Overnight Stocking Supervisor to lead day-to-day store operations in a busy retail environment. You will mentor staff, manage staffing and hiring, and drive sales while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires 2-3 years retail experience with at least 1 year in leadership, plus the ability to resolve conflicts, analyze financials, and train teams in safety and company policies. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict by addressing root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to teach suggestive selling.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
• Mentor team members in all areas of the organization.

Aufgaben

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in the day to day operations within various departments of the store.
• Mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by providing career paths and development needs; involved in promotion decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team members to ensure service and sales goals are met and Meijer standards.
• Ensure team is thoroughly trained and trained on required certifications.
• Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members for exceptional service.
• Promote a safe work environment.
