Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day store operations. You will mentor staff, drive sales, and ensure top-notch customer service while maintaining store standards.

You will lead staffing decisions, promote development paths, and handle disciplinary matters when needed. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and consistent attendance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of related retail experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Proven ability to hire, train, and develop team members.
• Strong communication skills to guide staff and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze sales, shrink, and financial data to drive decisions.
• Experience leading teams in a store environment with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise daily store operations across departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staff, select, and hire to meet staffing needs and shift coverage.
• Promote career development and assess promotion readiness.
• Document disciplinary actions and recommend personnel actions.
• Manage P&L, sales targets, and shrink control for the department.
• Ensure training completion and adherence to Meijer standards.
• Maintain strong customer service and store appearance during peak hours.
• Foster a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
