Meijer Inc. in Grand Rapids is seeking an Overnight Stocking Department Lead to guide the overnight team in operations, order fulfillment, stocking, pricing and product presentation. You will coach staff, support training, and help maintain Meijer standards and profitability.

Lead by example in customer experience, team engagement, and adherence to safety and quality policies while coordinating with leadership on schedules and tasks.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and engagement with customers and peers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Retail or other customer service experience preferred.
• Creative thinking and ability to influence others.
• Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best checkout experience for customers.
• Communicate with team and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed service and sales goals.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training high potential talent.
• Assist in scheduling to improve customer service and store profitability.
• Ensure product rotation and dating policies are followed for freshness.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and displays as needed.
• Operate a register and cash handling when required.
