Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking an Overnight Resident Assistant to support residents in maintaining dignity, independence, and quality of life. You will provide personal care, companionship, and proactive engagement in community life, reporting to the Director of Nursing.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, effective communication, and teamwork with the care staff to monitor health status and ensure a safe, welcoming living environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs, web-based platforms, EHR systems, and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs and daily living activities.
• Respond to signal lights, bells, or intercoms promptly to determine residents’ needs.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor intake and output as directed.
• Aid residents with mobility and dining, and assist with laundry and housekeeping as needed.
• Promote resident engagement and communicate observations to the care team.
