Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Security professional to greet residents and visitors, monitor access, and maintain a safe property environment. The role requires strong customer service and clear written and verbal communication, with experience in electronic security systems and emergency response.

The position is full-time, with weekend night shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 11pm–7am). Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours as needed; a high school diploma

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
• Must possess strong customer service background.
• Two to three years of business experience in a similar position preferred.
• Command of information system hardware/software required; written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Multiple language fluency desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
• Monitors and operate Electronic Security Control Systems and Emergency Response Systems.
• Responds to emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Monitors and controls access to the building.
• Accurately maintains daily logs, records, and forms.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building/property.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Works shifts that are subject to change based on property needs.
• Reads and understands The Continental Employee Handbook/Security SOPs.
• Attends Security / Front Desk staff meetings.
• May be assigned other duties by the on-site Community Association Manager.
