Job summary

CMHA-CEI seeks a crisis support worker in Lansing, MI, to provide enhanced support for individuals in crisis under supervision. You will assist with a range of supportive services and direct interventions while upholding CMHA-CEI policies and procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience with emotional impairments, computer proficiency (including Smart Care and Word), and a Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Experience interacting with persons with emotional impairments required.
• Must be able to operate a computer and gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide an enhanced level of support for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Carry out all activities of the program/sub-unit in line with CMHA-CEI policies and procedures.
• Perform direct interventions with consumers who are in crisis under supervision.
