CMHA-CEI in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a Relief Crisis Assistant to support adults and children during acute mental health crises. Under supervision, you will provide a supportive atmosphere, respond to crises, and coordinate with therapists to implement short-term interventions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of crisis experience, strong de-escalation and documentation skills, and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months’ experience working with consumers experiencing mental health crisis.
• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations with individuals and groups.
• Knowledge of clinical diagnoses for the target population.
• Strong written and verbal communication; extensive documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide supportive atmosphere for adults and children in acute mental health crisis.
• Respond to crisis situations and monitor program activity; coordinate with therapists.
• Assist therapists and share information within the CMHA-CEI system.
• Maintain a secure environment and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
