Job summary

The Alden Network in Aurora, IL is seeking an Overnight Memory Care Nurse for a 6pm–6am shift to support and advance a holistic, therapeutic memory care program for residents with dementia.

Responsibilities include supervising Memory Care Aides and CNAs, maintaining individualized care plans, documenting care, engaging residents in non-pharmacologic activities, and ensuring a safe, clean unit while coordinating with families.

Responsibilities

• Overnight coverage from 6pm to 6am to support a holistic, therapeutic memory care program.
• Supervise Memory Care Aides and CNAs, including ADL care and non-scheduled activities.
• Develop knowledge of each resident's background, disease, and care needs.
• Utilize communication devices and language services to enhance resident communication.
• Provide individualized, non-pharmacological symptom management and interventions.
• Complete all required documentation and maintain program policies and regulatory compliance.
• Encourage family involvement through volunteering and visitation, and maintain a safe unit.
• Be flexible to adapt to residents' changing needs and provide emotional support to residents and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
