Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Nurse to support and assist in providing a holistic, therapeutic Memory Care Program on the Memory Care Unit. The Nurse will strive to maintain the highest quality of life for residents with dementia, ensuring person-centered care within memory care policies and state/federal standards.

Responsibilities include supervising Memory Care Aides and CNAs, maintaining detailed documentation, and collaborating with the Memory Care Director to monitor program goals.

Qualifications

• Commit to continued growth in Alzheimer's dementia care and memory care best practices.
• Requires at least 12 hours of continual education annually including orientation training (16 hours) and ongoing dementia-specific trainings for direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a holistic, person-centered Memory Care Program on the Memory Care Unit.
• Oversee Memory Care Aides and CNAs, supervise ADL care, transportation, and unscheduled activities.
• Learn each resident’s background, disease, care needs, and preferences in detail.
