Job summary

The Alden Network in Chicago, IL seeks a compassionate Nurse to support a holistic Memory Care Program on the Memory Care Unit, providing person-centered care for residents with dementia.

Shift 11:00pm–7:30am; duties include supervising CNAs, assisting with ADL care, documenting care, and engaging residents in non-pharmacological activities to enhance quality of life. Collaborative team approach with family involvement is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support a holistic Memory Care Program on the Memory Care Unit.
• Provide person-centered care and assist with ADL tasks.
• Oversee Memory Care Aides and CNAs, including supervision.
• Maintain detailed resident background, care needs, and preferences.
• Document all required activities and interventions.
• Engage residents in non-pharmacological activities to improve quality of life.
• Encourage family involvement and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure a clean, safe, non-hazardous unit and adapt to changing resident needs.
