Job summary

University of Houston-System is seeking an Overnight Front Desk Supervisor to guide hotel front desk operations and ensure guest service excellence in line with Hilton standards.

You will assign tasks to Guest Service Agents, Operators, and Bell attendants, monitor lobby traffic, and adjust staffing as needed. Responsibilities include resolving complaints, conducting pre-shift briefings, and evaluating performance for training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc.
• Attainment of a high school diploma or GED indicates readiness for these tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assign and instruct Guest Service Agents, Operators, Bell attendants in details of work and monitor lobby traffic to adjust staffing.
• Supervise front desk operations by completing daily checklists and determining room and rate availability.
• Resolve customer complaints by researching the situation and identifying effective resolutions.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings and communicate information to staff for guest service aligned with Hilton standards.
• Monitor staff performance and recommend training when inconsistencies arise at the Front Desk.
• May perform duties of Front Desk Clerk when needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.
