Job summary

Colwen Hotels is seeking a Night Auditor to join the front desk team in Medford, MA. This part-time overnight position balances hotel transactions, closes the day, responds to guest requests, and maintains the front desk area’s cleanliness and appearance.

Responsibilities include checking in guests, posting charges, balancing ledgers, running night audit, and producing daily close reports. Strong communication, organization, and PMS/software proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience, hotel preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with local area, ability to provide directions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and common computer software.
• Ability to learn computer software programs and operate property management system.

Responsibilities

• Operate the front desk and assist guests with inquiries during pre-arrival, stay, and checkout.
• Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges and balancing ledgers.
• Run night audit and daily close; ensure accurate daily closing reports.
• Provide exceptional guest service and resolve complaints.
• Ensure lobby and front desk areas are neat and welcoming.
• Process guest check-ins: confirm reservations and assign rooms.
• Communicate with Lead Audit team regarding daily closing and issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information.
