Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking an overnight Facility Assistant in Reno, NV.

The role focuses on maintaining safety, security, and supportive interactions with tenants while performing housekeeping and administrative duties on the overnight shift. The successful candidate will de-escalate crises, assist with daily program operations, and participate in staff training as needed.

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly with tenants and staff.
• Ability to de-escalate crises and respond to emergencies.
• Proven teamwork and reliable performance in a residential program.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-judgmental service to tenants.
• Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness in common areas.
• Complete shift logs, incident reports, and routine documentation.
• Assist with leases and community engagement.
• Support training and development of new staff.
• Respond to tenant questions and lockouts as needed.
