Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Shelter Supervisor for the Nevada Cares Campus in Reno.

The role oversees safe, housing-focused services for adults and couples during the 10:30 pm–7:00 am shift, ensuring compassionate support and adherence to program standards. As a full-time exempt position, you will lead staff, manage daily operations, monitor safety, and coordinate with the Shelter Director to maintain a high-quality shelter

Formación

• A high school diploma is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is highly preferred.
• Must have previous experience working with the homeless population.
• This position requires supervisory and scheduling experience, demonstrated record-keeping ability, and good written and verbal communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid training within ninety (90) days of employment date and re-certification as necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Provide compassionate, safe, housing-focused programming for shelter participants and monitor safety.
• In coordination with leadership, recruit and train staff and manage scheduling and coverage.
• Ensure data accuracy in HMIS and maintain inventory of linens and supplies.
• Oversee facility cleanliness, safety drills, and incident reporting.
• Lead staff meetings, trainings, and performance reviews.
