Job summary

Centerboard Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Staff member to support residents in the Emergency Assistance (EA) Housing Program and help maintain a safe, orderly shelter environment.

You will work overnight from Sunday to Thursday, 12am–8am, and contribute to daily shelter operations, responding to family concerns and following program safety procedures. You will complete rounds, document shift information, assist with maintenance needs, monitor entry/exit, and help de-escalate conflicts while

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Two years’ experience in housing services, residential programs, or public contact.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and remain awake during shift.
• Respond to emergencies and family concerns following safety procedures.
• Complete rounds and document information in logs and incident reports.
• Assist with shelter operations and monitor entry/exit, sign-in/out procedures.
• Assist with maintenance requests and coordinate with maintenance staff.
• Support evacuation drills and safety protocols as needed.
