Job summary

Bridgewell in Massachusetts is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental, physical and psychiatric disabilities in daily living, residential settings and community activities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 5+ years of verified experience); candidates should have strong communication, organizational and computer skills, plus a valid US driver’s license.

Training includes MAP, FA/CPR, and other certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years verified experience in the same position preferred.
• Experience with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skills training in activities of daily living during day, evening and overnight shifts.
• Create opportunities for residents to develop independence and decision-making.
• Provide services per DDS/DMH/MassHealth/HUD/DPH/CARF standards and Bridgewell policies.
• Administer medications according to MAP regulations as applicable.
• Maintain required documentation including progress notes and shift checklists.
• Transport residents to medical, recreational and other activities as needed.
