Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities in a residential setting in Peabody, MA. You will assist with personal care, skills training, and community activities while ensuring safety and adherence to regulatory standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 5+ years of verified experience) and may involve overnight or early morning shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy to use Microsoft Office and agency web applications.
• Ability to drive a large vehicle and hold a valid US driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people with skills training in activities of daily living across shifts.
• Foster independence by creating opportunities for decision-making.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
• Maintain required documentation and progress notes.
• Transport and accompany people to medical, recreational, and other activities as needed.
• Complete household tasks and participate in safety routines.
• Develop relationships with guardians and stakeholders.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
