Johnson County Government seeks an Overnight Shift Supervisor/988 Clinician to lead the 988 Crisis Team, guiding clinical decisions and supporting the Crisis Call Specialists. The role works closely with first responders and JCMHC programs to ensure safe, compassionate responses to callers.

You will oversee on-duty staff, participate in hiring and training, review documentation, and coordinate care with partner agencies. A focus on quality and training is essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field and Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the master’s level.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Reference/background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance to 988 Crisis Call Specialist and oversee staff on duty.
• Lead clinical decision making and supervise staff within parameters set by 988 leadership.
• Oversee shift operations and participate in performance evaluations and hiring.
• Assist with staff development and new hire training.
• Coordinate care with state hospitals, law enforcement, and community agencies.
• Attend meetings with 988 Team Leader and implement training initiatives.
