Johnson County Government seeks a Crisis Clinician for mobile crisis response and the 988 call center, serving the Mission area. The role focuses on de-escalation, risk assessment, safety planning, and resource connection within a two-person team.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Social Work or related field with Kansas licensure; licensure with KS/MO may be required by time of offer. The position is PRN with shift differential eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related Human Services field and Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the master’s level.
• KS/MO driver’s license may be required depending on department.
• Reference/background screening required for all positions.
• Preference for Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at clinical level and 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide mobile crisis interventions as part of a 2-person team dispatched to behavioral health crises.
• Assess suicide risk and safety needs to determine least restrictive care and safety planning.
• Provide outreach and follow-up to prevent crises and coordinate resources.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, families, and community agencies to advocate for clients.
• Complete clinical documentation and coordinate with 988 Center duties (calls, chats, texts).
